Privacy
The short version: your salary never leaves your browser, analytics run without cookies, and the only personal data we ever store is an email address you choose to give us.
Your calculations
Everything you type into the calculators is processed in your browser. Current calculator links keep exact salary, bonus, pension, and employer-cost inputs out of requests to our server and analytics, and we do not store them.
Calculator state is encoded after the # in the address. This part of a link stays in the browser and is not included in a web request. The share button copies that client-only link for the people you choose to send it to.
Older links may contain calculator inputs after ?. Opening one sends that original address in the first web request; the calculator then removes those inputs from the query string and converts them to the client-only format.
Analytics
We count visits with Umami, a privacy-focused tool that works without cookies. It is configured to exclude both query strings and URL fragments, so calculator state is not collected. Nothing is stored on your device, and no profile of you exists.
The events we record are aggregates: that a calculation happened, in which language, and in which broad salary band. The exact amount you enter is never part of any event.
Email updates
If you subscribe to tax-change updates, we store your email address and interface language with Resend, our email provider based in the USA. We use them for one purpose: the updates you asked for.
Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also reply to any of our emails to have your address deleted entirely.
What we do not do
No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no sale or sharing of data, no accounts. Your browser stores one preference locally: your light-or-dark theme choice. It never leaves your device.
